Low Temperature Plasma research team
Our team works in
Department of Optics, Physical Faculty of
Saint-Petersburg State University. We are studying fundamental problems of gas discharge plasmas, such as the formation of the electron distribution function in spatially inhomogeneous fields, resonance radiation transport in discharges of various geometries, and self-organisation of inhomogeneous plasma in the form of ionization waves and constriction of a positive column. Moreover, investigations of plasma sources applied in industry such as magnetron discharge and barrier discharge are performed by our team together with multiple scientific institutions. Here you can see in detail the topics of our interest. The results of research are published in multiple papers in famous scientific journals such as Physical Review E and Journal of Physics D. They are also presented in many reports on international conferences.
